Condolences for William Donald Ferguson

Susan Jenkins Aitken posted on 4/18/10

I have just read the news of Don and had a flood of really great memories of him and the Ferguson family. Julie was a good friend and Don was always fun and sweet and interested in our lives and I felt very comfortable around him always. He always made us laugh and he and Barbara made their house a great "hang-out" spot. Thank you to the whole family for wonderful memories of happy childhoods. My condolences to Julie and Barbara and all who loved Don.

Hi Barbara and Family:

I was deeply surprised to hear of Don's passing!! I wish that I could be there with you all during this time of bereavement but, due to a rehearsal here on campus tonight at 7 pm, I won't be able to be in attendance at the visitation!!! Please note that my prayers and thoughts are with you, because I know the pain that you feel to lose a loved one!!! Please remember that-"Earth has no sorrow that Heaven (God) can't heal"!!! Looking forward to seeing you (you all) on the next Fifth

With Deepest Sympathy,

Uncle Don, I'll never watch another Western without imagining you watching it, too. Jacob and I will miss you so much. I KNOW, however, that you will be keeping your eye on all of us from your "perch" up in heaven.

Although I did not know William, I wanted to take a moment to extend my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. May you find comfort in the Bible's promises at Revelation 21:4 and John 5:28,29. These scriptures mention a time when our loved ones will be resurrected and death and pain will be done away with. It is my wish you will find comfort and hope from these thoughts in the Bible.

I met Don when I worked in the Register of Deeds office and all of us there loved his stories. It was an honor to know him and to call him a friend.

How sadden I was when joann called me to tell me of Donald's passing. I remember all the good times we had when we were growing up in Clarks Neck. I know he had been sick for many years and now he is free of pain. Today he is in heaven with our heavenly Father . May you feel His comfort and peace. I am in Flordia with my daughter, but I will see you when I get home. Love Dawn

Don was Joy's big brother, and as far as she was concerned, he could do no wrong. Barbara, Don will be missed by all of us that knew him, but we have the blessed assurance that this is not the end, rather it is a transition into a new life beyond. Joy has already welcomed Don, I know, and even after these nearly 24 years, she speaks to me in my dreams, often, and wishes me well. Thus it will also be with you. Give Julie a hug for me - you know that she was Joy's first niece, and Joy really loved her.
