Condolences for Robert Norton Whitaker, Sr.
My deepest condolences go to the Whitaker family. I crossed paths with Mr. Whitaker a few times during my visits to Enfield as my mom grew up there. He left a lasting impression after every conversation and I was impressed with his accomplishments in life. Rest assured knowing that he is in a much better place and know that he truly loved his family. God Bless you all.
Robert and Martha, I am so sorry about your Dad's death. I remember him from long ago and loved reading about your family's house, his life and work, and love of his friends, family, and of course Topsail. I'm sorry for your loss. Take care!
To the family of Robert N Whitaker, we are sadden to hear of your loss. Rob will always be remembered for the kindness he showed to many. The family of Pauline Whitaker.
On this day of Rob's Remembrance Day, my thoughts are with his family and friends. In remembering my last visit to Strawberry Hill after the June 2019 Whitaker Reunion, I have fond memories of Rob taking me through the house and showing me his garden, taking family group pictures and having a one-on-one conversation on our families with a glass of wine sitting overlooking his proud garden. The last ime I was in the house was 34 years ago before the renovations Rob and Jane made. I was taken to the house after that reunion by my Aunt Eunice Whitaker and her brother, Uncle Charles Whitaker, Sr. of Bells, TN. Rob took us on tour and I remember the music room with the antique piano. All good Whitaker memories thanks to Rob's gracioousness.
Martha, David, Tyson and Connor, Thinking about you and your family during this difficult time.
Rob was a special lunchtime friend and we have had many an enjoyable time talking, laughing and sharing. I will miss his kindness and good humor.
Rob was so kind to show us around Strawberry Hill on our visit to Enfield and Whitaker’s Chapel. I was proud to have known him. Rest in eternal peace Mr Rob.
Condolences from the Rose family and the Wells family of Enfield.
Love to the Whitaker family, Rob was a great and dear friend to us and made us laugh. He will be missed by all of us dearly. I am sure he is in heaven with his wife Jane, our friend Rick, and all the friends and family that have gone before, toasting to all of left behind.
Saddened to hear of Mr. Rob's passing. I know he will be missed. Enjoyed his company on trips. Prayers for all of you now and days to come.
