So sorry for the loss of Donnie. I am one of your Lassiter cousins. My father was William L Lassiter. James Linwood was my grandfather. You may know my niece Angie Lassiter. Wish we had met each other. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mr Donnie was my Mammy's neighbor. I spent every free minute I had growing up at Mammy's. I was never there when I didn't see him laboring to keep his home and his yard beautiful. He let me eat my belly full of muscadine grapes daily once they were ready. He was a truly good man and I never saw him without a smiling face. I know he will be missed by our community, the church, and his family.
