Tammy, so sorry to hear about your father. It's not easy to lose your second parent. Take care.

Got to know him through his in-laws Mr. and Mrs. Judge, who lived next door to me in Hobgood. Simply a great person to know and talk to. Scotland Neck and that generation at its best.

Dear Ed, Tammy and families, I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Ed. In our opinion they didn't come any better; seeing him constantly up at Shields as well as around town he was one of the nicest men we ever knew. I know he was a great father to you both and I always talked to Ed about him at the grocery store when Mr Ed couldn"t get out anymore telling him we said hey. Please know our deepest prayers are with you all now but I know God will help you through this. Hold on to the memories and good times; they are the greatest gifts. Tammy miss seeing you and pray you are doing well. God bless Sue and Bruce Davis

I am so sorry to learn of this. I worked with Ed at Shields for several years and he was just a great guy, loved his family, was quiet until he had something to say or to crack a joke. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.,

Ed, Tammy and family, Thinking of y’all during your time of sorrow and loss. Your father was one of the good ones and made for great childhood memories. The last time I was in SN, I had lunch with him at the Freez, had a great “catching up “‘ conversation. May God comfort you during this time. Jeff, Trish & Zach Allsbrook Wilmington NC

I'm saddened to learn of Ed's passing. He was a very kind and generous man. He always had a smile on his face and spoke whenever and wherever he saw you. He will be greatly missed.

All of you in my thoughts and prayers. Heaven certainly gained a special man! He will be missed by many. I have lots of memories that I will cherish of him. Loved for him to tell his hunting stories. Between him and my dad, Ashley and Casey always had them going! Just can't say enough good things about him!
