Condolences for Pastor Paul Edwards

So sorry to hear of Paul's passing, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. When I finally turned away from drugs and alcohol in 1993 Pastor Paul was there to help; he was my first real spiritual advisor and I'll always be grateful for his encouragement and his counsel.

You "were" jovial, thoughtful, a father among fathers, & a demonstration of Love in the earth... #speechless

Paul Edwards prayed with me in May of 2000 when I gave my life back to God. Later, he officiated when we dedicated our daughter to God. He was my pastor in Millennium for eight years. He was my friend for nineteen years. Well done, good and faithful servant.

About 20 years ago my exhusband and I met this man and his beautiful family by chance!! He and one of his children or friends had broke down on the side of the road. We stopped and picked them up and took them home. They didn't have to trust us because we were complete strangers BUT they did. When we got to their home, he immediately invited us in and would not take no for an answer. So we went in and met his wife and someone else (I cannot remember who). Through the years that short encounter has stuck with me. And I think because of that experience I don't met any strangers. We are going to miss you here on Earth but you will be a joy to have in Heaven. Rest In Eternal Peace!!

I just talked with him a couple of weeks ago while visiting someone within the local nursing home. We started talking and I asked him was he a part of the community prayer at High Ground and he said, Yes I remember you; don't you attend Soul Saving? I also remember listening to his teaching at the Wednesday Sessions at his home church, CSIC. My prayers are with his biological family as well as his church family and friends.

Pastor Paul was so loved by my momma, my son and I. Pastor Paul selflessly visited my mother, Janet Sue Carrington in the hospital many times and provided comfort to her through prayer. Pastor Paul selflessly picked up my mother who was wheelchair bound and took her to Power Lunches on Wednesday’s when I was unable to get her there. Pastor Paul prayed with me, my son Rob and my mother at the altar many times. Pastor Paul prayed over my son and shared with him what the Lord laid upon his heart...a prophecy about Rob. It has not come true yet, but I do not doubt God’s word as God put that same prophecy in my heart about 2 weeks prior...Pastor Paul and my son did not know that. My prayers for comfort and peace are going up for Bonnie and their family, as well as the CSIC family and the community. My aches with sadness for the passing of such a wonderful man. Yet, my heart is filled with joy knowing that Pastor Paul is now in his true home and sitting at Jesus’ feet. I know that he is reunited with his family that had gone on before him. I also know that my momma helped greet him yesterday morning in Heaven. Miss Bonnie, I love you and am holding you close to my heart in prayers. - Kelly Simon
