Our sincere condolences to the family. When our loved ones fall asleep in death, words alone cannot ease the pain of our loss. The Bible helps us to deal with our grief (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4). We can also find hope from Jesus words at John 5:28, 29 “The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” I hope these scriptures bring comfort and calmness of heart to you during the difficult days ahead. Amy, my prayers and hugs to you and your family in the loss of your dad. I just realized my parents knew him, and spoke highly of your dad. I grew up in walking distance of your grandfather's house. Having lost my dad in 2014 and my mom 3 1/2 years earlier, I know so well the loss and the pain. May the Lord wrap his everlasting arms around you and yours, and give you the comfort you need to get through the days ahead.
