Our thoughts and prayers are with you. The world has lost a great train enthusiast. I’ll never forget stopping by one night and he was very proud to show me a gondola car he was building.

Jan and I send our sincere condolences to Gene's wife, daughter, and family. May you all find comfort in the many happy memories you share. While teaching with Gene for many years, I appreciated what a kind, thoughtful, and caring person he was. He connected well with students and turned many lives around. He took pride in always wanting to do the right thing. We are glad to have had the opportunity to visit with him last summer at the GCEA (IGAEA) conference. Gene was instrumental in getting me to join GCEA, had a great knowledge of the printing industry, and was a friend who will be missed. May he rest in peace, Jan and Barb Fischer, and family.

Remembering Mr. Van Roy from being a student when he taught graphics at WWTC (now WTC) in La Crosse, Wisconsin. I honor him for that and if I remember correctly for his military service, also. Deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
