I met Mrs. Melva at Aulander Medical Practice. We developed not only a profession relationship but a personal relationship as well. She was kind hearted and had a wonderful personality. We clicked from the start. It was obvious that she loved her husband, children and grandchildren. I will always remember our delightful conversations and yes her "advice"! Another angel received her wings. She will be missed but remembered by many.

I worked for many years at the Health Department with Ms Elva. She was the heart and the "Mama" of our clinic crew. She loved us all and taught me a lot. I know how much she loved her family and "Papa Jack". My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss.

Donna and I were talking about Aunt Elva Dean and the first time we all watched the original Home Alone together. She came up to Maine with my Mom and Dad to visit and we all took the ferry to Nova Scotia, Canda. While there we all watched the movie together and she laughed so hard she was crying and that made us laugh that much harder. Aunt Elva you will be missed and forever in our hearts. May you rest in peace.
