I grew up on Hall St. in Aulander. This family was my family. Love you, Wayne, and Ma-ma Trolie and Mama did, too. They worked with Wayne at the Peanut Factory. Before they made Ma-ma retire, Wayne made Ma-ma a cassette tape of him playing that old piano and singing gospel. I held on to that cassette.years and years after Ma-ma died. I'd play it often. Years later, I ran The Bushel Basket. Kathy D. Lassiter, Link Davidson and Billye's daughter would come by often. I told her I had something to give her. I gave her the cassette. Kathy, I hope you still have it and you share at his homegoing.
