In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Sorie Whitehurst; and his brother-in-law, William Luther Dean.

He is survived by his sons, William Thomas “Will” Whitehurst, III of Nashville and Gregg Andrews and wife Teresa of Battleboro; his sisters, Jackie Dean of Washington, Mary Ellen Padgette and husband Julian of Hobgood, and Tommie Madison and husband Bob of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and his granddaughter, Kendall Andrews.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Hobgood Baptist Church.  The Reverend Doctor James Drake and the Reverend Don Glendenning will be presiding.
