Mr. William Sherman Futrell, age 81 died at the Our Community Hospital in Scotland Neck on Sunday, May 31, 2009. Mr. Futrell was a resident of the Guardian Care Nursing Home in Scotland Neck for many years. He was a native of Northampton County living in Rich Square most of his life. He worked as a small engine mechanic for a number of years. Preceding him in death are his mother and father, Ethel and Marvin Futrell.
Surviving is one sister, Regina Ritter of Orlando, FL along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date to be announced.
