My condolences to Joy and family. I had the privilege of working with Vernon at Maryview where he volunteered in retirement while Joy still worked a few days a week. His work ethic was untouched – I could always count on him to complete the task assigned accurately and sooner than expected. I think the biggest gift I received was to get to listen to him tell stories.
