COMO, NC – Trish Walsh Thompson, age 78, of Bowles Place Drive, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Trish was born on February 4, 1942 in Michigan. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Trish cherished her children and grandchildren. She devoted her life to Christian ministry with her husband. One of her favorite things was teaching the children about her Lord, impacting many lives along the way. She enjoyed making and teaching other to make crafts such as jewelry, soap, crochet, embroidery, sewing, and just being together made her happy. Trish also designed web sites and still host the church site today. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Trish is survived by her loving husband, Lucian , children; Anthony “A J” Shirely of Raleigh, Christopher “Chris” Shirely of Raleigh, Ian Shirely of Raleigh, Dawn Mayfield and husband Tim of Chesapeake, VA, Michelle Farguso and husband Antonio of Chesapeake, VA, Trace Thompson and wife Alison of Norfolk, VA, Jesse Thompson of Norfolk, VA, Jerry Spruill of Hampton, VA; sixteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; along with numerous extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Walsh, and her brother John Walsh.

Due to executive order issued by Governor Cooper and recommendations from the CDC concerning COVID-19, the Thompson family wishes to have a memorial service to celebrate the life of Trish at a later time. We will update our website once we have a date and time available.
