MURFREESBORO, NC – Stewart Alexander “Alex” Harrell, age 29, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital of Ahoskie, NC.
Alex was born on November 23, 1989 to Stewart Arnold Harrell and Sandy Roan Separk in Franklin, VA. Stewart was an electrician for many years. He loved his family and was an avid sports fanatic. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite NASCAR driver was Dale Earnhardt. Alex enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Along with his father, Stewart, Alex was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Harrell.
Left to cherish Alex’s memory is his mother, Sandy Separk and her husband Ronnie of Littleton, NC, brother, Tre Fromal of Roanoke Rapids, NC; grandmother, Bessie Harrell of Gates, NC; three uncles, Dale Harrell and wife Sissy of Murfreesboro, NC, Thomas Harrell and wife Pat of Conway, NC, and Chuck Roan of TN; one aunt, Flo Giles of Roanoke Rapids, NC; along with numerous cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 15, 2019, from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Memorial Chapel, Murfreesboro, NC.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at 1:00 pm at the Meherrin Baptist Church Cemetery, Murfreesboro, NC, with Rev John Porter officiating.

I’ll always remember Alex and I becoming best friends by us driving all over Winston Salem NC together! We use to joke that I was his BATS wife and he was my BATS husband…BATS is a program we met at!! Where ever I was Alex was,an the same for Alex..where ever he was I was! I’m gonna miss my best friend forever! Thank you Alex for the time we had together an allllll the memories we made together!! I love you!!

Alex will be greatly missed by many that knew him. He was a good person and he loved his family. My sympathies go out to all his family. Love ya’ll and God be with you.
Sandy and Tre I can not imagine your pain but know I have you’ll and your family in our prayers. Paul and I could not believe it when we got the news. Always remember God will hold your hand through this and when it feels like you cant go on or take another step remember you will not have to because God will carry you where you need to go.
