Stephen Leon “Steve” Mobley, 53, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Prodigy Transitional Rehab in Tarboro.

Steve was born in Fredericksburg, VA on September 29, 1964 to the late Leroy and Ruth Feltner Mobley.  A loving father, brother, and grandfather, Steve loved his family and grandkids above all else.  He worked for many years as an electrician for local companies.  His favorite pastimes included fishing, hunting, gardening, and grilling with friends.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his nephew, Eric Kevin Mobley.

Steve is survived by his son, Steve Mobley, Jr. of Whitakers; his daughter, Jamie Mobley of Tarboro; his sisters, Lucinda Sloop of Atlanta, GA and Hope Warren of Rocky Mount; his brothers, Roy Mobley, Sr. and wife Toni of Oak City, Quint Mobley and wife Vada of Pinetops, and Randy Mobley of Williamston; and his grandchildren, Lexia Pettaway, Ivan Mobley, Justyce Mobley, Zayden Mobley, Krisztian Mobley, and Rodney Warren-Mobley.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the Oak City Baptist Church in Oak City.  The Reverend Lyle Brackin will be presiding.

Letchworth-Sykes Funeral Service in Scotland Neck is handling the arrangements for the Mobley family.
