ROXOBEL, NC – Rosa Lee Hoggard Baisey, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

A native of Bertie County, NC, Mrs. Baisey was born on July 22, 1940 to Wayland Willard and Mildred Camelia Williford Hoggard in Lewiston. Rosa Lee was a faithful and dedicated member of Sandy Run Baptist Church. She worked with Southern Bank and Trust Co. for 45 years before retiring. Rosa Lee enjoyed flowers and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend that will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Odis Willard Hoggard.

Rosa Lee is survived by her beloved husband of sixty years, David, her son, David Lee Baisey, Jr. of Roxobel, NC; her two sisters, Ophelia Campbell and husband Wilbur of Washington, NC, and Evelyn Humerickhouse of Roxobel; along with her special friends, Dayle “Puddin” and Charles Vaughan of Lewiston, NC.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at 1:00 pm at the Sandy Run Baptist Church, Roxobel, NC, with Rev. Roy Huthmacher, officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.
