Rochellia Hudson Cox, age 75, of Scotland Neck, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Autumn Care Nursing Home in Nashville.

Rochellia was born on September 30, 1946 to the late James and Madeline Hudson. Rochellia was a graduate of Scotland Neck High School and retired from Walmart in 2014. She was a member of Dawson Baptist Church and attended church faithfully until her health declined. Rochellia resided at Autumn Care in Nashville for six and a half years. She loved her stay at the nursing home and her many friends there became her second family. Rochellia was a loving sister to her five siblings and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents, Rochellia was preceded in death by her husband, James Cox.

Rochellia is survived by her sisters, Pricilla Riggs of Timberlake and Patricia Personius and her husband Richard of Stem; her brothers, James R. Hudson, Jr. and wife Iris of Seven Springs, Bennie E. Hudson and wife Julie of Durham, and John S. Hudson and wife Denise of Elm City. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, who loved her very much.

A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Chapel of Letchworth-Sykes Funeral Service in Scotland Neck, with Rev. Ricky Sorie officiating. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery.
