HARRELLSVILLE, NC – Peggy O’Neal Daniels Rodgers, age 74, died on January 8, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Rodgers was born on July 3, 1942 to C.M. “Cam” and Doris M. Dailey in Colerain, NC. Peggy retired from Southern States in Richmond, VA after more than 30 years of service. She left with fond memories of coworkers and customers that she served all those years. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend that will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her two daughters, Kenneth Meredith, and her loving step-father, Louis E. Dailey, Jr.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Dennis K. Rodgers; two daughters, Sherry Washington and Cindy Zinn; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Reed Daniels and his wife Jane of Harrellsville; and her dear special sister, Dr. Sheron Dailey and her husband Thomas Tucker of Terre Haute, IN.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 1:00 pm at the Stoney Creek Cemetery, Ahoskie, NC, by Mr. Jerry Hunnicutt. The family will gather and receive friends at the home following the service.
