AHOSKIE- Nora Lee Odom Hobbs, age 82, of Ahoskie, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the Ahoskie House.

Nora was born on June 19, 1939, to the late Joseph Mack and Icy Morris Odom in Hertford County, NC. Nora worked as a machine operator at the sewing factory until her health no longer permitted. She was married to Bennie, for over 40 years and had three wonderful children. Nora enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially in her garden planting flowers, and she loved to sing. She had a special bond with her grandchildren and she loved them dearly. Nora was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Along with her parents, Nora was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Francis Hobbs; son, Lee Hobbs; and brothers, Bud Odom and “Big Babe” Odom.

Left to cherish Nora’s memory is her son, Bennie Earl Hobbs and wife Angie of Colerain; daughter, Debra Hobbs of Woodland; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dolly Faye Harris of Aulander, and Linda Baggett of Woodland; and a brother, Donald Odom of Aulander.

Family will receive friends at the house of Bennie and Angie Hobbs in Colerain, NC.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021, 11:00 am at the Woodland Cemetery, Woodland, NC.
