Mary Walston Partin, 97, died Friday, January 2, 2015.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Scotland Neck. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. The Reverend Doctor James Drake and the Reverend Doctor Allen Cherry will be presiding.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Scotland Neck. She and her husband opened Family Cleaners in Scotland Neck and operated it for years until it was taken over by her daughter, Deborah, and her son-in-law, Pete.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson B. “Will” Partin, Sr.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Davis and husband Pete of Scotland Neck and Penny Cooley of Fremont; her son, Bill Partin of Raleigh; six grandchildren, Bob Cooley and Meghan, Burt Cooley and wife Cindy, Nel Whaley and husband Chris, Tom Davis and Amanda, Chris Davis and wife Susie, and Deborah Himmelfarb and husband Scott; eleven great-grandchildren, Tyler Cooley, Hannah Cooley, Mason Cooley, Kristian Whaley, Cody Whaley, Dawson Davis, Ava Gray Davis, Davis Himmelfarb, Brittany Himmelfarb, Bri Nocera, and Lexi Nocera; and her special caregiver, Ethel Dunham.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Scotland Neck, P.O. Box 539, Scotland Neck, NC 27874.

Arrangements are being handled by Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
