Mark “Buddy” Thomas, Jr.

Mark “Buddy” Thomas, Jr. was born July 3, 1945, and departed this life on May 16, 2022 at approximately 4:10pm. He was the son of the late Addie P. Thomas and Mark Thomas. Mark Thomas was married to Rosa Marie Mills Thomas to this union three children were born, Robert Lee Thomas and Doris Ann Thomas, both to the home, and Mary Lou Thomas of Middlesex. There are three children that he raised, Thaxton Tyrell Banks of Raleigh, Lecraig Thomas and Taiwiajah Shanie Thomas of the home.  Buddy had a passion for rabbit hunting and he loved his rabbit dogs.

Those left to carry on his legacy are four sisters, Margaret “Fig” Richardson of Halifax, Ermadine Thomas of Patterson, New Jersey, Melinda Thomas Hanamiel of Halifax and Creacy Hill of Halifax; two brothers, Roger Thomas of Patterson, New Jersey and Nathaniel Thomas of Halifax.

A Homegoing Celebration Service will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 2:00PM at the Chapel of Letchworth-Sykes Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45PM prior to the service.
