To the family of Mrs.Overton.
I want to say that I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. I can remember growing up in Menola and going to your house playing ball and hanging out together that was some good times.
Mrs. Overton was always nice to me when I came over to see the boys,Pam was just a baby when we played as kids.
My prayers are with you.
Your childhood friend.

When I think of your Mama, I have to go back to Menola. That is how long I have known her and you children. I've watch you grow and become fine adults. Your Mom was so proud of each of you. She loved to tell me about those that went to school with Tim, Malinda and Michelle. We often laughed about those days in Menola and All of the gang.Although I had lost touch through the years, I would see one of you and remember good things. Please know that I will be thinking of you in the days ahead and especially on Wednesday.Keep close as you always have and your Mom and Dad will be honored. Family was her life and you can carry on that gift. You will be rememberd in my prayers as you go though this journey of your lives. God will take care of you. Mary Anne Britton Croom

I was amazed this am when the power came back on for the service. How appropiate because your Mom was always a bright light in this world. I know how you already miss her, but rejoice at her being released from her body into the loving arms of our savior.

Dear Debbie, Lisa, Lori and rest of family. It is now 6:35 pm (Tues) and I have just found out when services will be. I am so sorry to say I can only be there in spirit.
I can remember the family reunions and see Mabel surrounded by her children and church friends; the times I and my children visited you on Church Street.
Now she will be celebrating with her heavenly family. She will leave a great void in all of your lives but you all have a strong faith and family ties
that will hold you all together for comfort.
My love to all.

I am so sorry for your loss. When I think of Mabel I think of our talks up here in Chapel Hill when Lisa lived up here. She was proud of her children and her grandchildren. I hope you all know each of you were special in her heart. She will be missed.
