Mrs. Lucille Lassiter Britton age 88 of Lewiston-Woodville died Thursday September 8, 2011 at the Inpatient Hospice in Greenville. She was born December 12, 1922 in Bertie Co. to the late Arthur Lassiter and Eugenia Hall Lassiter. She was the wife of the late George Thomas Britton.
Mrs. Britton was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lewiston-Woodville, a retired Hairdresser and was a homemaker, loving mother and wonderful grandmother.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 4:00 PM at Hoggard Memorial Cemetery.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Brenda B. Barger of Greenville, a son Tommy Britton and his wife Jodie of Roanoke Rapids, grandchildren Jeff Barger of South Boston, VA., Dr. Jennifer B. Normann and her husband Sherrill of Sanford, NC and James Britton of Charlotte and three great grandchildren Ben Gregory, Blake Barger and Brad Gregory.
