SCOTLAND NECK – Kenneth Ray Shaw, born on July 19, 1937 to the late Victor Shaw and Adell Jones Shaw near Carbon Hill, Walker County, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020.

Kenneth graduated from Carbon Hill High School in Walker County, AL then moved with his parents to Nashville, TN, where he attended David Lipscomb University.  Upon graduation from Lipscomb, he went to work for Army Audit Agency as an auditor.  Over 43 years, he worked in several positions for the Agency in the U.S., Asia, Europe, and the Pacific.  His last assignment was in Honolulu, HI for 5 years.  He retired in 2001 and moved to the small town of Scotland Neck, NC.

On April 30, 1961 he and Johnnie Elizabeth Burton were married at the Sixth Avenue Church of Christ by the late Gus Nichols in Jasper, AL.

He and Johnnie are the parents of one daughter, Jennifer Shaw who married Terry Regan.  They are the parents of the Shaw’s only grandchild, Bryan Thomas Regan, who is a freshman at Yale University in New Haven, CT.

Kenneth is also survived by his sister, Anna Burdeaux and her family in Aurora, CO, and his sister, Laura Carter, husband Marshall, and her family in Winchester, TN.

A private service will be held at a later date.
