KILL DEVIL HILLS, NC – Julie Marie Edwards Brickhouse, age 58, formerly of Murfreesboro, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2019 at the Vidant Medical Center of Greenville, NC.

Julie was born on October 6, 1961 to the late Robert Edwards and Virginia Dare Garris Edwards Britt in Hertford County, NC. She graduated from Murfreesboro High School and was a member of Meherrin Baptist Church. Julie was married to her loving husband for thirty years and to this marriage was born two sons. Julie was an LPN, Nurse for a nursing home for 21 years before retiring once her health declined. She was loving, caring, and dedicated to taking care of others. Julie cherished her family, especially her two sons, Jacob and Joshua. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. Julie loved her dogs. Julie was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Julie is survived by her loving husband, Buddy; her two sons, Jacob Edward and Joshua Robert Brickhouse; great grandchild, Noah Grace Brickhouse, all of Kill Devil Hills, NC; brother, Jamie Edwards and wife Teresa of Murfreesboro, NC; along with numerous extended family and friends.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 24, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Meherrin Baptist Church Cemetery, Murfreesboro, NC, with Rev. John Porter, officiating.
