WINTON, NC – Irma Denise Warren Smith, age 55, of Winton, died on December 17, 2016 at her home in Tunis, NC.

Mrs. Smith was born in Roanoke Rapids, Halifax County, NC, on June 28, 1961 a daughter of the late Earl L. and Shirley Parks Warren.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister and enjoyed taking care of her family.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Besides her parents, Denise was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Abigail Rose Smith.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Ronnie Smith, her daughter, Amanda Lowe and husband, Richard of Corapeake, NC; her son, Nathan Smith of Sunbury, NC; a granddaughter, Mariah Lowe; two grandsons, Mason Smith, and Hunter Smith; three sisters, Joyce Baker and husband, George of Potecasi, NC, Jackie Hastings of Courtland, VA, and Julie Warren of Woodland, NC; and a brother, Earl Warren of Woodland, NC.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC, and other times at the home.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2016, at 2:00 pm at the Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Ahoskie Chapel, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Joe Lassiter, officiating.  Burial will follow in Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Rich Square, NC.
