ROXOBEL, NC – Hubert Eugene Parker, age 85, passed away on June 21, 2019 at the Rich Square Villa of Rich Square, NC.

Mr. Parker was born in Roxobel, Bertie County, NC, on October 12, 1933, a son of the late Charlie Robert and Minnie Elizabeth Dunning Parker. Hubert was owner and operator of Parkers Repair Service in Roxobel. He was a hard worker who truly loved working on anything mechanical. Hubert appreciated all of nature’s beauty, including his wife’s flower gardens. He was a lover of pets, especially cats and dogs, and most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Hubert was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Hodges, and his brother, J. C. Parker.

Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife, Hazel Harmon Parker, his daughter, Connie Chamblee, and husband, “Wig” of Aulander, NC; his son, Daniel Parker and wife, Nancy of Roxobel, NC; two grandsons, Justin Chamblee and wife, Mamie of Merry Hill, NC, and Daniel Parker, Jr. of Roxobel, NC; a granddaughter, Victoria Parker of Roxobel, NC; two great granddaughters, Braelyn Chamblee, and Emma Chamblee; and a brother, Charlie Parker, Jr. of Roanoke, VA.

A graveside celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2019, 2:00 pm at the Ahoskie Cemetery, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Buck Leary, officiating.
