My childhood memories take me back to a time when we visited Hilda, Vickie, and Joyce. I recall dancing in the garage and right there with us was Hilda with her perpetual smile and thinking she was just like us. She will never be forgotten, after all, she was one of us.

We love you

It is with deepest sympathy that I send this. You all have been in my thoughts all day.

I write in behalf of my mother, Ethel Pothier, who loved her Cousin Hilda very much. In Cousin Hilda’s last days, she unselfishly thought of my mother often, and in spite of her own health problems, called to check on her. We never even knew she was in hospice care. I loved hearing her perky, happy voice on the other end of the receiver. She encouraged my mom and reminisced with her about their wonderful past. I don’t think I will tell my mom about her passing. In her state, I think it would be too difficult for her to process her sorrow and grief. We will let Cousin Hilda’s beautiful spirit live on in our lives until we are all one day reunited with her… Much love to the family.

Mimi,

I will miss our talks. You always made me laugh. Know that I will take care of your babies and will see you again one day.

Love always, your grandson, Eric.
