A memorial service to celebrate the life of Hannelore will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 2 pm at Riverside Baptist Church in Merry Hill, NC with Dr. Gene Martin officiating. 

AULANDER, NC – Hannelore Nowicki Belch, age 85, of Phelps Farm Lane, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Belch was born on January 22, 1935 to the late Herman and Rebekka Nowicki in Germany. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Hannelore enjoyed her life staying at home and taking care of her family. She enjoyed working with her hands, loved spending time outdoors in her flower beds and gardening, sewing, crocheting, quilting and many other crafts. She was a very talented artist and loved to paint as well. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Hannelore is survived by her loving husband, Shelton, three daughters, Patra Nowicki of Germany, Debra Belch Pierce of Washington, NC, and Susan Jeanette Belch of Concord, NC; one son, Shelton Wayne Belch Jr. and wife Leslie of Ahoskie; two granddaughters, Shelly Pierce Gilliam and husband Tiquan Ray of Wake Forest, NC, and Brittany Smith and husband Joey of Chapel Hill, NC; two grandsons, William Christopher Pierce of Windsor, and Nathan Belch and wife Kaitlyn of Mebane, NC; two great-granddaughters, Ariyah and Ava Gilliam; great-grandson, Rhett Belch; sister, Ursula Schultz; and sister-in-law, Peggy Annette Askew of Askewsville.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Hannelore will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 2 pm at Riverside Baptist Church in Merry Hill, NC with Dr. Gene Martin officiating.
