AHOSKIE, NC – Fletcher Harrison Pierce, age 16, of Berkley Road, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the Vidant Medical Center of Greenville, NC.

A native of Hertford County, Fletcher was born on November 16, 2004 to Pate and Anna Brown Pierce in Ahoskie, NC. He was a member of The First Baptist Church of Ahoskie. He attended Ridgecroft School from Pre K3 – 8th grade, then Woodberry Forest School in Woodberry Forest, VA for his freshman and sophomore years. Fletcher loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, playing basketball, and soccer. He was always up for enjoying a grilled steak for dinner. Fletcher was loved by many and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Fletcher is survived by his parents, his two sisters, Camille Pate Pierce, and Lizbeth Louise “Liza” Pierce; his maternal grandparents, Bruce and Lizbeth “Liz” Brown of Murfreesboro; his paternal grandparents, S. Stuart Pierce, Jr. and Sandra Pate Pierce of Ahoskie; uncles; Hunter Brown and wife Sarah of Murfreesboro, Brent Pierce and wife Kari of Ahoskie, and Walt Pierce and wife Mary Page of Ahoskie; cousins; Elizabeth and Molly Brown, Henry, Bennett, Lucy, Dempsey, Stuart, and Libby Pierce, along with his dog, Sugar Bea.

A celebration of life memorial service will follow a private family burial on Friday, July 23, 2021, at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Ahoskie, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Dr. Paul R. Gilliam, III officiating.
