Donald Roy "Don" Viverette

January 28, 1935 - January 22, 2017

Donald Roy “Don” Viverette, 81, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Enfield Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Enfield.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Enfield Baptist Church. The Reverend Kerry Peeler will be presiding.

The family will receive friends after the service at the church.

Don was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was born on January 28, 1935 in Halifax County, NC to the late Stanton Viverette and Ruby Andrews Viverette. Don was a farmer in Halifax County for most of his life and was a part time rural mail carrier for the US Postal Service. He was a lifelong member of Enfield Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents Don was preceded in death by his brothers, Stan Viverette and Stevie Viverette; and his sister, Dorothy Viverette.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Harrison Viverette; his daughters, Vickie Viverette of Staunton, VA, Margaret Pierce and husband Ronnie of Louisburg, and Glenda Roodenburg and husband Billy of Orlando, FL; his brothers, Randolph Viverette and wife Joyce of Enfield, Sammy Viverette and wife Jewell of Greenville, and Alvin Viverette and wife Jerri of Red Oak; his sister-in-law, Margaret Viverette of Wilson; his special nephew and caregiver, Randy Viverette and wife Diane of Enfield; his grandson, Tommy Parrish and wife Michelle; his great-granddaughter, Madison Parrish; and many nieces and nephews.

Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck is handling the arrangements for the Viverette family.
