COLERAIN, NC – Danise Taylor Harrell, 82, of Bud Taylor Road, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at her home.
Mrs. Harrell was born on December 14, 1938 to Hillery and Hazel Perry Taylor in Colerain, NC. Danise was a registered nurse and took great pride in taking care of others. She was a devoted and faithful member of Mars Hill Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them, especially around the holidays. Danise enjoyed spending her spare time sewing, gardening, and working with her flowers. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William David Harrell, her brother, Carlton Taylor, and her sister, Carolyn Brown.
Danise is survived by her daughter, Joan Harrell Bundy and husband Willie of Gatesville, NC; two sons, Mike Harrell and wife Lisa of Colerain, NC, and Stacy Harrell and friend Rosemary of Windsor, NC; three grandsons, Taylor Bundy of Gatesville, NC, Dylan Harrell of Colerain, NC, and Matt Harrell of Colerain, NC; granddaughter, Jenna Bundy of Raleigh, NC; two nephews, Brad Brown and wife Penny of Colerain, NC, and Chris Catron and wife Donna of Wake Forest, NC; and niece, Dee Worrells and husband Roy of Colerain, NC.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Highland Memorial Gardens, Ahoskie, NC with Pastor Channan Brinkley officiating.

I will always remember Denise as the pleasant, shy, and kind person who made you feel comfortable by just being in her presence. She took care of her Mom in old age and was a role model for the rest of us. Sympathy to her family and close friends.
