Charles Mark Stevenson passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 29 at St. Joseph’s Hospital South  in Riverview, Florida in the arms of his loving family.

He was born August 21, 1973 to Charles Gwen Stevenson and Helen Boone Stevenson in Titusville, Florida. Mark is predeceased by grandparents William Pete Boone, Pauline Whitehead, step grandfather Andrew Franklin Whitehead, James and Louise Stevenson and aunt Evelyn Boone Elmer. He leaves behind wife Erika Stevenson, mother Helen Stevenson, father Charles Stevenson, sister Carole Stevenson Wurtzbacher (Chris), and niece Brittany Wood. He is also survived by uncles James Fred Stevenson (Jeanne) of Blairstown, New Jersey, Richard C. Stevenson (Nancy) of Scotland Neck, aunt Sandra Whitehead of Scotland Neck, and cousins Mary Lou Waters, Roland Whitehead, Russell Whitehead, Virginia Maguire, and Elizabeth Sanders.

Mark received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida in 1996, a Juris Doctor of Law from the University of Miami in 2000, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami in 2001, and a Master of Law in Taxation from the University of Florida in 2001. He also studied at Oxford University in London, England.

Mark grew up in Mims, Florida touching the lives of so many with his enormous heart and listening ear. As a dedicated lawyer in Tampa, Florida, Mark worked tirelessly for his clients achieving full partnership with Shutts & Bowen LLP in 2013. Loving, kindness, and patience are but a few of the words that define him. His catch phrase was “Don’t Worry”. The best often die young which certainly is the truth in his case. He is now at rest in Heaven.

The Stevenson family will have a private family celebration of Mark’s life.

Helen, You and your family are in my thoughts. Mark sounds like a fine young man and I’m so sorry for your loss. Also remembering Evelyn’s recent passing. Praying that you will find peace and comfort as you return to SN. We have some happy memories there. You will be in my heart….Katie Howard Nixon
