Carol Webb Rogister, age 75 of Oak City died peacefully on January 23, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC, surrounded by her family.
She was born February 24, 1941 to the late Andrew Newett and Mary Elizabeth Webb in Tarboro, NC . Carol married the love of her life, Paul Rogister on January 4, 1964 and to this marriage was born three children. They just celebrated their 53rd anniversary just a couple of weeks ago. Carol had a wit about her that made you smile anytime you were around her. Her hobbies included reading and knitting but she was also blessed with the ability to make a painting come to life. Carol was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her smile will forever live in the hearts of those that knew her.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Paul Rogister of the home; two daughters, Paula R. Thomas and her husband, Les, of Greenville, NC, Pamela R. Tutor and her husband, Monte, of Hobgood, NC, and one son, Vernon Rogister and his wife, Mandy of Greenville, NC; three granddaughters, Cameron Rogister of Greenville, NC, Hannah Casper and Jenni Tutor of Hobgood, NC; five grandsons, Zachary and Lucas Thomas of Greenville, NC, Jacob Tutor of Hobgood, NC, Josh and Adam Rogister of Greenville, NC; and a sister, Velvet Boyd and her husband, Lawrence of Warrenton, NC.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 2PM at Scotland Neck United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rob Licht officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Whitakers, NC.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 7:00-8:30PM at Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck, NC.
