CONWAY, NC – Barbara Louise Byrd, age 69, of Jenkins Mill Road, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital of Ahoskie, NC.

Mrs. Byrd was born on January 29, 1951 to Richard and Stella Martin Farrow in Halifax County, NC. Barbara loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, sewing, fishing, and cooking. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Byrd, and a sister, Sandra Brown.

Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Charles, son, Charles Byrd Jr. and wife Robin of Murfreesboro; brother, Richard Farrow and wife Judy of Creeksville; two sisters, Geraldine Wernock of Roanoke Rapids, and Linda Bush and husband Clarence of Buxton; daughter-in-law, Melinda Byrd of Bristol, VA; two grandsons, Josh Byrd and Christopher Byrd, both of Murfreesboro; three granddaughters, Hannah Byrd, Stella Byrd, and Taylor Byrd, all of Bristol, VA; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020, at 11:00 am at the Riverside Cemetery, Murfreesboro, NC, with Matt Ledbetter, officiating.
