Aubrey Randolph Bryant, Sr., age 84, passed away peacefully October 12, 2019 at his home in Woodland, North Carolina.

Aubrey was born on September 30, 1935 to Paul and Loraine Bryant in Northampton County. He was a member of Potecasi Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He was a hard worker and part owner of the original Bryant Lassiter Septic Tank and has owned and operated Arrowhead Trailer Park on Indian Trail in Potecasi for over 40 years . He loved fishing, playing cards and dancing. Aubrey was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great great grandfather. His family described him as the “Best Man in the World”.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Frances Gray Bryant, a sister, Billie Ruth Bryant, and a brother, Pete Bryant.

Aubrey is survived by his wife Rachel of the home; a daughter, Pat Bryant Hodges and her husband Gattis of Woodland; two sons, Randy Bryant of Potecasi, and Darryl Bryant of Bailey; a stepdaughter, Nicole Edwards Buck and her husband Ed of Murfreesboro; a stepson, David Edwards and his wife Jamie of Ahoskie; seven granddaughters, Wendy Edwards and her husband Josh, Sandy Storey and her husband Mike, Brandy Galloway and her husband Leon, Miranda Williams and her husband Jessie, Emily Bryant, Kelsey Bryant, and Riley Buck; two grandsons, Paul Bryant and his wife Emily, and Landon Buck; five great granddaughters, Morgan Taylor and her husband Jon, Lauren Storey, Hannah Storey, Lilly Williams, and Cora Bryant; four great-grandsons, Payton Galloway, Alex Galloway, Brantley Edwards, and Baylor Edwards; a great-great granddaughter, Ava Taylor; three sisters, Shirley Joyner of Powellsville, Joyce McKnight and her husband Jerry of Rocky Mount, and Linda Beverly of Richmond, VA; two brothers, Gene Bryant and his wife Mary of Hobgood, and Larry Bryant of St. Johns; and a sister-in-Law, Mary Bryant of Jasper, GA.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Aubrey’s caregivers, Mary Jo Revelle and Brooke Brown.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 15, 2019, from 10:00-10:45AM at Potecasi Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will follow the visitation at 11:00AM with Rev. Ricky Browder officiating. A burial will follow the church service at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Rich Square.
