ROCKY MOUNT, NC – Ronnie Earl Perry, Jr., age 42, of Rocky Mount, passed away on January 20, 2018 at Rex Hospital of Raleigh, NC after an extensive illness.

Mr. Perry was born on September 22, 1975 to Ronnie Earl Perry, Sr. and Bonnie Howell Hamson in Ahoskie, NC. Ronnie was a self-employed cleaning tech. He loved first and foremost his family, especially his mother. Ronnie enjoyed mixed martial arts, sports, Texas Holdem poker, and fishing. He was a loving son, father, grandson, brother, and friend that will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Earl Perry, Sr..

Ronnie is survived by his mother, Bonnie and her husband Duane, step-father, Jeffrey L. Pope of Daytona Beach, FL; son, Tyler N. Perry of Gaston, NC; grandfather, Dyerl F. Howell and wife Elsie of Jackson, NC; sister, Jessica Pope of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Justin D. Pope and his wife Theresa of Clayton, NC, and Zephaniah Pope of Daytona Beach, FL; along with many cousins.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service in Rich Square.

The family will have a celebration of life memorial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family.
