Ronald  Dean “Ronnie” Staton age 47 of Scotland Neck, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018.

 

He was born in Nash County on September 1, 1970 to Robert Durwood Staton and Sue Roebuck.  Ronnie lived in Scotland Neck with the late Henry “Pop” Roebuck and Mary Lee “Gran”

 

He graduated from Hobgood Academy and attended ECU.  Ronnie worked as a professional welder for various companies doing shut down work. Ronnie was an avid coon hunter, enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and sports.

 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Pop and Gran Roebuck, paternal grandparents, Robert Durwood and Lillian White, father, Robert Durward Staton, Jr. and son, Ronald Dean Staton, Jr.

 

Ronald  is survived by his mother Sue Roebuck of Greenville; daughter, Harley Staton and Corey of Roanoke Rapids; brother, Robbie Staton and his wife Peaches of Greenville; nephew, Ethan Staton and niece, Gracie Staton of Greenville and unborn granddaughter of Harley and Corey, Natalie Blake.

 

Visitation will be held Friday, July 20, 2018, 7:00-8:00 pm at Letchworth-Sykes Funeral Service of Scotland Neck.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at Sunnyside Cemetery in Scotland Neck with the Rev. Paul Spradley officiating.

I can’t express with words how truly sorry and heartbroken I am ..he was one of the sweetest younguns I have ever known since he was a baby and he will be greatly missed …I know y’all are heartbroken but know he is happy now with his Daddy his pop and his gram…l love you all with all my heart …i will be praying God will bless and hold you near and give you all the strength you need….much love, Sue Stroud Davis
