AHOSKIE, NC – Robert Elwood “Bo” Leake, age 95, passed away on December 1, 2016 at the Vidant Inpatient Hospice of Greenville, NC.

Mr. Leake was born in Northampton County on April 3, 1921 the son of the late James and Tulie Minton Leake.   Robert was retired as a meter reader for Roanoke Electric Corp. and was a member of United Outreach Ministries in Windsor, NC.

Besides his parents, “Bo” was preceded in death by his loving wife, Emily Wilson Warren Leake, and his sisters, Callie Cooper, Elizabeth Adkins, and Lois Howell.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, James Elwood Leake and wife, Sonya; a grandson, Zachary Leake; and a granddaughter, Kelly Leake, all of Winterville, NC.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, prior to services on Sunday, December 4, 2016, at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie.  The celebration of life service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home, with Rev. J. R. Thomas officiating.   Burial will follow in Ahoskie Cemetery.
