AHOSKIE, NC – Mary Lou Dilday, 85, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at her home in Ahoskie.
Mary Lou was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Eva Dilday; and her brother, L. Marion Dilday.
She is survived by her best friend and sister, Thelma Earley Dilday of Ahoskie; her special cousin, Tommy Dilday and wife Linda of Ahoskie; and her nieces, Susan Smith and husband Harold of Belhaven, Lynn Ross and husband Buddy of Bath, Donna Shealy and husband Jerry of Charleston, SC, Ellen Allen and husband Walt of Belhaven, and Marian Keech of Belhaven.
The family wishes to offer heartfelt thanks to all of Mary Lou’s caregivers for the kindness and love they showed.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Ahoskie Cemetery. The Reverend Mike Williams will be presiding.
The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery. Other times the family will be at 104 Slaughter Road in Ahoskie.

Such a sweet lady and cousin. My Daddy always had fond stories to tell of growing up with Mary Lou and Thelma. The boys and I will greatly miss our visits and singing concerts.
