Edna Anderson Weeks, age 93, passed away on May 25, 2018 at the Edgecombe Health and Rehabilitation Center of Tarboro.

Mrs. Weeks was born on October 4, 1924 to Ray and Carrie Sessoms Anderson in Edgecombe County, NC. Edna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend that will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Besides her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Danford A. Weeks.

Left to cherish Edna’s memory is her two daughters, Sharon Robinson and husband Maurice of Oak City, NC, and Cheryl Hunt of Wilson, NC; two sons, Tim Weeks and wife Kathy of Emerald Isle, NC, and Darren Weeks of Sharpsburg, NC; a sister, Mary Anderson and her husband VB of Tarboro, NC; two grandsons, Drew Robinson and Daniel Robinson; seven granddaughters, Michelle Evjen, Susan Griggs, Ginger Hunt, Carrie Hunt, Julie Weeks, Christy Weeks, and Kari Weeks four great-grandsons, Wade Robinson, Lawson Robinson, Jeremiah Griggs, and Jacob Griggs; and one great-granddaughter, Lindsey Robinson.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Sunnyside Cemetery, Scotland Neck, NC, with the Rev. Lyle Brackin, officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
